ACCESS GRANTED: BELIEVE AND MOVE
By: Dr. Joda Johnson “Her Audacious Faith 24”
The Year of Triple Doors
BAM Family when 2023 came to an end I took some time for introspection, review of my goals, family and spiritual life. I had to look reality in the face and take inventory of what I had and had not accomplished. Equally, I had to extend grace to myself as I reflected let go so I could move forward to new things. The Holy Spirit reminded me of the things I planned vs His plans for me. That reminder opened my eyes to see that I accomplished more than I thought I had. I welcomed the New Year with a blank slate and tears that screamed THY WILL BE DONE! No resolutions, no plans, just an open heart and mind to the voice of the Holy Spirit. I heard the Spirit of the Lord say, “The disciplines (faith, prayer, obedience) still have access to open doors.”
Door of Faith
Door or access point 1 is faith. In John 10:9 Jesus tells the disciples, “I am the door. If anyone enters by me he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” Faith is the access point to go in and out of the revolving door Jesus granted access to. This door promises we’ll find pasture, resources, nourishment, namely things that are added when we seek the Kingdom of God. To believe that access to the door of opportunity is continuous, we must have faith in the DOOR and move.
Door of Prayer
Door or access point 2 is prayer. I could give numerous scriptures on prayer and believing as access to opening doors and receiving the blessing. For prayer we will use Jesus’ teaching about prayer to the disciples in Luke 11. In Luke 11:9-10 Jesus tells the disciples to ASK, SEEK and KNOCK (Believe and Move) to access God’s promises. To walk through the triple doors in 2024, we have to continue to ask in prayer. To ask, seek and knock requires that by faith and prayer we believe and move.
Door of Obedience
Door or access point 3 is obedience. In Hebrews 11 there is a roll call of many who believed and moved in obedience to the voice of God. Once we have faith, we pray, then take action believing that God’s Word will not return to Him void. Revelation 3:20 is a good example of prayer, faith and obedience working together. “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears MY voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him and he with me.” As a result, opening the door grants access to continuous provision from the Lord.
Access granted: We must believe by faith, hear the voice of the Lord in prayer, and move in obedience to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Jesus opened the doors; we must access them. Revelation 3:8 reads, “I know your works. See I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My Word, and have not denied My name.” We must believe and move for continuous access to the doors Jesus opened long ago.
